I've used a 16A debox junction box for a light fitting. Is this safe or should this be a 24A junction box? Not sure what the difference would mean for a light fitting. 16 amp should be plenty, what wattage is the fitting? What size MCB is on that circuit ? I expect it’s 6amp so the MCB would trip before you got above 16amp.
