I have ~1800 rounds of 556/9mm in the Costco tray and have moved it etc just fine. Individual cans hold about 700 rounds of 556 loose perfect, and about 400 rounds of 9mm in boxes roughly. They’re not an exact ammo dimension as far as I know (like 30/50 cal cans) but everything has fit decent and not awkward.
